He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Chaney and Lola Chaney (McBride); his wife Patsie; and his siblings, LaVerne Crider, Alice Bybee, Marvin and Calvin.
He is survived by: his children, Keri Mills (Michael) of Wayne County, TN, Lesa Covert (David) of Roatan, Honduras and Stewart Chaney (Nadya) of West Plains, MO; and his grandson Carl Chaney (Ashlynn) of Jefferson City, MO..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Yarber Mortuary-Mountain View (621 E 5th St, Mountain View, MO 65548). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
