He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Montgomery and Vida Montgomery; and his former wife Anita. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty, Clifford and Patty; his wife Thelma Willard Montgomery; his children, Paula Tellefsen and Shaun Montgomery; his brother David Montgomery; his grandchildren, Shea French, Paul Tellefsen and Willard; his great grandchild Eugene Willard; and his grandchildren, Blake Willard, Kyle Willard and Timber Adams. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in West Plains, Missouri (202 Walnut St, West Plains, MO 65775). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
