He was predeceased by: his parents, Vada Louise Deatherage and Hoggatt; his wife Cathy Lynn Carlson; and his siblings, Eva Todd, Cathy Deatherage, Lawrence Deatherage and Kenneth Deatherage.

He is survived by: his son Arnold Deatherage; his grandchildren, Zena, Tristan, Jasmine (Kyle), Jayden and Brayden; his sister Belle Yeager (Steve) of Moody, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Betty Deatherage. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Free Union Cemetery.
