He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Alverson and Jeanita Lee Lasater Alverson. He is survived by: his wife Charolett Kay Alverson; his children, Cappy Fore (Gary) of West Plains and Richard D. Alverson, Jr. (Penney) of West Plains; his grandsons, Dustin Fore (Sandra) and Richard D. Alverson, III (Jessi); his caregivers, Nathan Fore (Gavonna), Samantha Watkins (Brandon) and Chris Alverson (Bethany); his great grandchildren, Shelby, Bentley Joe Fore, Gavin, Lexie Alverson, Ellie, Richard IV, Greyson Alverson, Kaleb, Caylee, Zoey, Kennedy, Zane Watkins, Alexis, River, Walter, Kay and Aubriella Alverson; and his siblings, Roger Lee (Gloria), Ronnie Lee (Teresa) and Jeanie Ivanho. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home (211 W Main St, West Plains, MO 65775, USA). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
