He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Briscoe and Billie Briscoe; his grandfather Rod; his son Ira; his mother-in-law Iva Hobbs; and his brothers-in-law, Abigia Hobbs and Gene Shepherd.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his caregiver Luke; his niece Zoe Lindberg; his daughter Kelli; his son-in-law Ricky; his grandchildren, Madyson, John Ryan, Taylor, Luke, Audra and Rodney Wade; his sisters, Vickie and Jo; his father-in-law J. D. Hobbs; his sister-in-law Threasa Shepherd; Marsha, Jay and Vicky. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
