He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Max Carter and Mary Barks (Johnston); his siblings, Teresa Fultz, Melinda O'Malley (Mike), Melvin "Chuck" Barks (Michelle) and Ronn Carter; his uncle Steve Johnston (Tammy); his aunt Mildred Warren; his significant other Ron Decker; his brother Kevin Carter; his grandparents, John Lewis Johnston, Mary Edith Smith Johnston, Charles Ray Carter, Ressie Fern Goodwin Carter, Clarance Raymond Barks and Flora Alice Wheat Barks; his stepmother Margerette Carter; and his brothers-in-law, Keith Baker and Anthony Fultz. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home (211 W Main St, West Plains, MO 65775, USA). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the House of Worship Starts.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
