He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Altermatt and Christeen Thornton Altermatt; and his brother Dallas Altermatt. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Altermatt; his children, Tawnya Rothermich (Rick) and Shawn Altermatt (Corena); his grandchildren, Gavin Dain (Erica) and Kianna Burtrum (Bo); and his brother Doyle Altermatt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home (211 W Main St, West Plains, MO 65775). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home (211 W Main St, West Plains, MO 65775).
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary General Baptist Church, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
