He is survived by: his wife Rita Buersmeyer; his daughter Diana Gerling (Alan); his grandchildren, Jason Gerling (Jennifer) and Kristen Berhorst (Andy); his great grandchildren, Tyler Gerling, Zach Gerling, Abbie Berhorst and Avery Berhorst; and his friends, Karen and Danny Christensen.
Memorials are suggested to Helias Catholic High School or for Masses.
