Leon Berhorst Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leon Berhorst of Westphalia, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2026 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Berhorst and Dorothy Berhorst (Strope); his parents-in-law, Fred and Betty Jacobs; his siblings, Joseph Berhorst, Patrick Berhorst and Amy Luetkemeyer; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Holzbierlein, Randy Jacobs and Roger Mormann.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Aubry Rehagen (Matt) of Westphalia, Dylan Berhorst (Abby) of Westphalia and Shayne Berhorst (Jayda) of Taos; his grandchildren, Casen, Raelee, Bryce Rehagen, Chloe, Raegan Berhorst and Edsyn; his siblings, Bill Berhorst (Loretta) of Westphalia, Mike Berhorst (Donna) of Westphalia, Paul Berhorst (Tonya) of Westphalia, Gary Berhorst (Gina) of Westphalia, Ron Berhorst (Lonnie) of Westphalia, Scott Berhorst (Paula) of Westphalia, Joyce Boehm (Steve) of Rich Fountain, Agnes Boehm (Bill) of Rich Fountain, Karen Kempker (Allen) of Taos, Sue Rackers (Jeff) of Wardsville, Judy Roling (Travis) of Wardsville and Lori Schenewerk (Mark) of Westphalia; his siblings-in-law, Diane Mormann, Kathy Heimericks (Randy) of Honey Creek and Rick Jacobs of Louisiana; and his grandmother Pat Engelbrecht of Honey Creek.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (125 E Main St, Westphalia, MO 65085). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to fund the soundproofing of the Knights of Columbus lean-to.
