He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Duck" Welschmeyer and Darlene Casilda Welschmeyer (Kempker); his grandparents, Virgil Kempker, Edward and Marie Welschmeyer; his aunts, Deborah Thompson and Dawn Ramos; and his uncle Daniel Kempker.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer; his children, Haleigh Nelson (Jack Lowe), Sam Sellers and Audrey Sellers; his grandson Bo John Michael Lowe; his grandmother Rose Kempker; his parents-in-law, Ivan and Vicki Bock; and his aunts and uncles, Diane Morgan (Raymond), David Kempker, Dwayne Kempker (Tanya), Doris West, Donna Kesel, Delores Kempker (Lynn), Debbie White (Susie), Kevin Schulte (Cindy), Patty Stratman (Randy) and Rolla.
