He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Rosentreter and Paulene Rosentreter (Eichen); and his brother Michael Rosentreter. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Norman; his daughters, Machelle Vanderpool (Randy) of Purdy and Dawn Blankenship (Kyle) of Nixa; his stepson Wesley Short of Bentonville, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Ricky, Alex, Austin, Alyssa and Ashlynn; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Royce Patrick; and his siblings, Victor Rosentreter of Henderson, Anthony Vail Rosentreter of Elk City, Oklahoma, Linda Beretto of Tarpon Springs and Loretta Saathoff of Carlinville, Illinois..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the White Funeral Home & Crematory (196 Sale Barn Rd, Cassville, MO 65625). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chitwood Cemetery (57 33rd St, Rocky Comfort, MO 64861).

Memorials may be made to Haven of the Ozarks and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
