With sadness, we share the passing of Larry Wallace Howerton of Wheeling, Missouri. Larry, born on December 5, 1945, passed away on August 21, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Wallace Howerton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jessica Ruth Howerton (Harper); his wife Karen Kay Howerton; his father Perry Wallace Howerton; his grandchildren, Megan Marie Ishmael, Auston Perry Searcy, Triston Samuel Searcy and Star Lynn Cruse; his sons, Charles Ira Howerton and Kelly Mack Howerton of California; and his sister Phyllis Howerton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tabby Searcy (Jeremy) of Chillicothe and Tracy Lynn Cruse (John) of Wheeling, Missouri.; his sisters, Sharon Schneiter of Mooresville, Connie Gaunt of Chillicothe, Linda Beaman of Chillicothe and Lynnette Barron of Chillicothe, Missouri; and his aunt Charlotte Mann of Mooresville. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and was blessed with 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lindley Funeral Home - Chillicothe (910 Washington St, Chillicothe, MO 64601). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mooresville Christian Church. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Mooresville Cemetery.
