He is survived by: his children, Gary Sharp of Neosho, Kevin Shafer, Jr. (Carmel) of Independence, Hattie Reece (Justin) of Grain Valley and Danny Lee Shafer of Raytown; his grandchildren, Summer Sharp (Bobby Miller), Timothy Sharp, Sativa Shockley and Gage Shafer; and his great grandchildren, Tobias, Rhyland and Madalyn. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriners Children's Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
