He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brady Brewen and Aline Brewen (Robinson); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Richerson and Marion Halbersma. He is survived by: his wife Shirley West; his daughters, Tanya Brewen of Boonville and Kristina Boggs of Wooldridge; his grandsons, Brett Boggs of Wooldridge and Brady Boggs of Columbia; and his siblings, Barbara Richardson of Alpine, TX, Michael Brewen of Berwyn, PA, Teresa Halbersma of Overland Park, KS and Rhonda Jolley (John) of Cheyene, WY. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Christian Church (17111 Klinton Dr, Boonville, MO 65233).

In lieu of flowers friends and family are encouraged to have a plant or some flowers planted in Rodger's memory.
