He is survived by: his wife Leonia Nelson of Yellville, AR; his sister Velvie May Wages (James) of Dewitt, AR; his sons, Christopher Alvin Nelson of Gainesville, MO, Shannon Nelson (Courtney) of Zanoni, MO and Leon Nelson (Kelsey) of Gainesville, MO; and his grandchildren, Breanna Nelson of Viola, AR, Holly Nelson of Gainesville, MO, Wesley Nelson of Gainesville, MO, Hunter Nelson of Gainesville, MO, Shawn Nelson of Gainesville, MO and Trinady Nelson of Zanoni, MO. He is also survived by grandkids; and many nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Gainesville Cemetery.
