He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Herron; his stepdaughters, Beverly Boyd and Carolyn Johnson; and his grandsons, Kenneth Wayne Bradford and Charles Redmond.
He is survived by: his wife Betty B. Bradford of Abbeville, MS; his children, Marie Hester (Stevie Joe) of Algoma, MS, Zandra R. Ales (Corie, Sr.) of Oxford, MS and Silas James Ray of New Albany, MS; and his brother Mose Marshall (Shirley) of Houlka, MS.
