He is survived by: his mother Eva Mae Metcalf; his children, Jerry Simpson and Elisha Joell Simpson; and his siblings, Kenneth Ray Johnson, Elzie Johnson, Terry Johnson, Eva Black, Betty Chandler, Irene Vasser, Mildred Ewing, Allison Carr and Beverly Johnson.
