He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wells and Thelma Corbell Wells; his daughter Rita Wells; and his brother Ronald Wells. He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Wells (Melvin); his siblings, Judy Moore (Lackey) and Jerry Wells (Hamilton); his grandchildren, James Ward (Haley) and Destiny Ward (Eli); and his great grandchildren, Emery Ward and Kashton McCain. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
