He is survived by: his children, Larry Sims (Carmella) of Prairie, MS, Ronald Sims (Sonya) of Hazlehurst, MS and Bridget Hall (Thomas) of Huntsville, AL; his sister Daisy Jones of Toledo, OH; his grandchildren, Carl Riddle, Sheena Bryant (Freeman), Charlie J. Smith, Jr. (CJ), Ronald Byron Sims, Brionna Harvey and Jordan Kyle Smith; his great grandchildren, Sydney Bryant, Mason Kyle Smith and Ryder Sims; his sisters-in-law, Jean Sims, Annette Sims, Lois Sims and Geneva Randle; and also Robert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Belle Memorial Funeral Home (216 MS-25, Aberdeen, MS 39730). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Sims/Word Cemetery (20163 McAllister Rd, Aberdeen, MS 39730).
