He was predeceased by: his parents, Dossy Burns and Jessie Lee Nolan; and his son William Burns. He is survived by: his daughters, Nicole Burns and Pershell Walker (Tracy); and his siblings, Samuel Simmons, Randolph Simmons, Lillie Murray and Christine Simmons.
