He was predeceased by: his parents, Shannon McMullen, and Emma Miller McMullen, Sr.; his siblings, Bessie, Irene, Linnon, Carrie, Wilson, Sarah, Jim, Minnie, Willie, George, Estella and Hattie; and his son-in-law William T. Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Alee Ashford McMullen; and his children, Virginai Faye McMullen Thomas, Annie Doris Patterson (Willie Lee), Clement Earl McMullen (Ellen Kate), Linda Ruth McMullen Petty (Terrell) and Brenda Joyce Baker. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins.
