We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2023, at the age of 66, Anita Barnes Vaughn (Amory, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Dr. Edward Barnes; her stepfather Bro. Sidney McLeod; her stepbrothers, Johnny McLeod and Paul McLeod; and her parents-in-law, John and Estelle Vaughn.

She is survived by : her mother Betty Miller Barnes McLeod; her husband Dwight Vaughn; her children, Justin Vaughn (Shannon) and Ashley Vaughn Holman (Tim); her sisters, Judy Tyree (Mike) and Cindy Harmon (Randy); her stepsisters, Sue McLeod Fairchild and Recia McLeod Spencer; her grandchildren, Macayla Marie Fisher, John Paxton Vaughn, Justin Luke Vaughn, Addison Lynn Holman, Olivia Jade Holman and Eva Claire Holman; and her close friends, Dr. Ken, Patricia Harvey and Irene Westbrook. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations may be given to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or to LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
