She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Murphey and Edith Mae Parham; her former husband Albert Cole; her grandparents, Raymond, Ruby Parham, Frank and Mellie Murphey; and her sister Shirley Phillips.

She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Dahlem; her children, Leigh Ann Wright (Ben) and Steven Ray Cole (Magen); her grandchildren, Carli Leech (Coleman), Emma Wright and Cash Hudson; and her siblings, Phil Moore (Lisa), James Murphey (GiGi), Tammy Whitehead (Gilbert) and Doris Riddle.

Donations may be given in Carolyn's memory to Hatley Missionary Baptist Church or to New Hope Baptist Church.
