He was predeceased by: his parents, James Steele and Edith Wooten Steele. He is survived by: his wife Patti Steele; and his children, David Lee Steele (Cherie), Vickie N. McDonald (Bryan), Joseph R. Strevel (Kara), Michael, Brandi Taylor (Jason), John David Strevel (Emma) and Cierra Strevel. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
