She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Blanchard Palmer and Kathleen Hill Palmer; her husband Joseph C Spiers, III; her brother Carl Wayne Palmer; her siblings-in-law, Victor "Sonny" Stanford, Charles "Chatt" Collins and Moonyean Spiers Tucker; and her parents-in-law, Joseph C Spiers, Jr. and Rita Spiers.

She is survived by: her daughter Jeanna Kathleen Spiers; and her sisters, Linda Stanford and Kathy Collins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sanctuary Hospice House, Abundant Life in Amory or an animal rescue of choice.
