He was predeceased by: his parents, L. J. Cox and Nina Kay Knight (Barbara Ann Cox); and his sisters, Annie Mae Tignor and Linda Kay Weeks. He is survived by: his son Lewis Jerome Cox (Misty); his grandchildren, Harley Carol Cumberland (Jacob), Tristin Brewer, Aubrey Cox and Olivia Cox; and his great grandchildren, Pete Cumberland, Charlee Cumberland and L. J. Cumberland. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
