He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Ray and Lois Gilmore Fowlkes; and his sister Shirley Parham. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McGhee Fowlkes; his daughters, Laura Leigh Fowlkes (Jen), Fulton, Lisa Kay Johnson (Sonny) and Huntsville; his stepchildren, Lonnie Williams, David Fowlkes (Lauren) of Houston, TX and Matthew Fowlkes (Krista) of Monroe, LA; his grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Benjamin Johnson (Kelcey), Madelyn Williams, Brady Williams, Tucker Fowlkes, Wyatt Fowlkes, Everett Fowlkes, Sohini Fowlkes, Hudson Fowlkes, Heidi Runge and Chandler Runge; his niece Lee Ann Moredcai (Art) of Brandon, MS; and his caregiver Jean Sims. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Moffett Funeral Home (1604 MS-25, Amory, MS 38821). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
