He was predeceased by: his parents, James Granville and Josephine Suggs Towery; and his siblings, Sue Smith, Shirley Matthews, Jean Sanders, Margaret Griffin and James Harold Towery.
He is survived by: his wife Gaynell Towery; his children, Gary Wayne Towery (Lori) of Clinton, MS, Joyce Auster (Marc) of Clearmont, FL and Terry Towery; his sister Betty Colbert; his grandchildren, Brooke Lindsey Kerkoff (David), Brooke Crosland (Logan) and Hannah Towery; and his great grandchild Charlotte "Charlie" Crosland.
