He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hester and Eva Hester; his son Lee Jamison Hester; and his siblings, JW and Doris Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Sadie Herndon Hester; his daughter Neeli Hester Graham (John); his grandchildren, Jamison and Phoebe Graham; his brother Larry Hester (Gail); and his godsons, Patrick Coccaro and Turner Yelverton. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the building fund of Anguilla Methodist Church or Sharkey Issaquena Academy.
