He was predeceased by: his parents, Blair Cox and Gwendolyn Cox of Ashland, Mississippi.; and his brother Richard Cox. He is survived by: his children, Rick Cox (Amber) and Gwendolyn Lindsey (Sam); his grandchildren, Ricky, Taylor, Ginny, Chandler and Hadley; his siblings, Barbara Gregg, Roberta "Bobbie" Poff and Blair Cox (Kim); his niece Angela Ferrell (Steve); and his nephews, Mike Gregg (Connye) and Allen Poff.
