He was predeceased by : his parents, Carnell Richardson and Nerreane Richardson; his brothers, Carnell Richardson, Jr. and Jimmy Baxter Richardson; his parents-in-law, John James and Effie Pilgrim; his sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Herrington and Joann Pilgrim; his nephew Robbie Welborn; and his great-niece Haleigh Welborn.

He is survived by : his wife Helen Myrle Pilgrim Richardson; his children, Doug Richardson (DeeDee), Angela Duncan (Andy) and Deanna Welborn; his grandsons, Tyler Richardson (Laken), Aaron (Wendy) and Alex Duncan (Victoria); his great grandchildren, Arlo James Duncan and Grady Thomas Richardson; and his siblings, Larry Richardson (Margaret), Michael "Mike" Richardson (Judy) and Diane Richardson. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
