Willie E. Spence Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willie E. Spence of Bailey, Mississippi, who passed away on September 3, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Whitney Spence and Emma Welborn Spence; his son Douglas Spence; his siblings, Everette Spence, Harold Spence, Sandra Spence Goss and Earline Spence Carr; and his great grandchild Kamryn Rey Mattar.

He is survived by: his wife Hazel Spence of Bailey; his children, Glen Spence (Diallyn) of Calera, AL, Chuck Spence (Abby) of Meridian, Jimmy Jones of Meridian, Robby Jones of Meridian, Larry Jones (Jeana) of Meridian, Debbie Spence Carmody (Paul) of Virginia Beach, Brenda Jones Carey of Meridian, Barbara McNeal (Doug) of Meridian and Cathy Sowell (Richie) of Meridian; and his sisters, Sara Beeman (Larry) and Patsy McCarter (Ken). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
