She was predeceased by: her parents, Arilla Walden and C. S. Walden; her spouses, Nolan Walden (Virginia), Pauline Stennett (Arthur) and JT Walden (Eloise); her siblings-in-law, Richard Arnold and Jane Phillips; and her sibling's children, Pam Arnold, Kay Freemand and John Walden.
She is survived by: her daughter Jamie VanOekel (Hans); her grandsons, Matthew VanOekel (Jennifer) and Gregory VanOekel (Keely); her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Alice, Hadley and Bode; her sibling's children, Beth Patterson (Roger), Liz Phillips (Ronnie), Dr. Ken Goodwin (Teresa), Bill Stennett (Missy) and Rick Stennett (Kristen); and her friends, Carol Allen, Vicky Moore and Martin Dillard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (309 N 2nd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beds For Kids Ministry (c/o of Mt Olive Baptist Church, 399 MS-30, Baldwyn MS, 38824) or First Baptist Church-Baldwyn (500 S 4th street, Baldwyn, MS, 38824).The family extends special thanks to the health care heroes of The Meadows-Fulton, Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center-Booneville and the North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice.
