He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Sue Dees; his daughter Susan Dees Harris; his parents, Donald Dees and Pauline Dees; his brother Ronald "Herb" Dees; and his brother-in-law David Rowan.

He is survived by: his children, Sabrina Ramey (Roger), Karrie "Buster" Dees (Melissa Gail) and Steven "Bo" Dees (Jennifer); his sisters, Peggy Rowan, Debbie Bennett (Kenny) and Christy Mask (Jimmy); his sister-in-law Marie Dees; his grandchildren, Dakota Shaw Dees (Lilly), Karlie Dees Champion (Todd), Kassidy Dees, Jacob Buse, Sabrina Billiot, Savannah Strickland, CJ Courtright, Hunter Dees, Ethan Dees (Chloe) and Tiffany Dees; and his great grandchildren, Hasley, Elizabeth, Carson, Paisley, Kinsley, Bailey, Booker and Cruz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Baldwyn Chapel. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
