He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvil Peters and Wilma Cook Peters; his brothers, Ricky Peters, Danny Peters and Lanny Peters; and his sister-in-law Joyce Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Ivanell Baswell Peters; his children, Tina Hopkins (Jason) of Marietta, Nathan Peters of Baldwyn and Barry Peters of Baldwyn; his siblings, Tresa Hall (Fred) of Saltillo, Lorraine Sandlin of Baldwyn, Kenny Peters (Phylis) of Baldwyn and Trent Peters (Jean) of Baldwyn; his grandchildren, Keith Hopkins, Noah Hopkins and Zoey Hopkins; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Peters of Marietta and Virginia Peters of Saltillo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waters Funeral Home (309 N 2nd St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
