He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Greer and Gladys Plummer Greer; his brother Espie Greer; his wife Betty Dale Greer; his son Hoyt Beddell Greer Jr.; and his grandson Justin Greer.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Ruth; his grandsons, Shohn (Kelli) and Kirk (Kristy); his great grandchildren, Savannah and Izabella; his sisters-in-law, Edie Butler, Ann Bailey and Sarah Little; his nieces, Dana Sistrunk, Belinda Jones and Judy Barnes; and his cousin Pat Loyd.
