He was predeceased by: his son Vic C. Gardner; his parents, Fount Jones and Beatrice Jones; and his siblings, Luther Jones, Lonnie Jones, Lathan Jones, Catherine Betts and Essie Mae McBride.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Jones; his daughters, Twyla Jones and Erocs Watts; his daughter-in-law Becky Gardner; his grandchildren, Chris Watts, Jr. and Breanna Davis (Malachi); and his cousin Lester. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Agnew & Sons Funeral Home - Baldwyn (111 W Water St, Baldwyn, MS 38824). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ebernezer M. B. Church (1492 MS-145, Guntown, MS 38849).
