He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton McDuffie and Ruth Clara DeVaughn; his brother Troy DeVaughn; his sister-in-law Wanda DeVaughn; his sisters, Earline Samples and Dorothy Samples; his nephew David Palmer; and his brothers-in-law, Johnny Taylor and Robert Palmer.
He is survived by: his sisters, Reta Palmer and Corlis Taylor; and his nieces and nephews, Mitch DeVaughn (Vicky), Mike DeVaughn, Matthew DeVaughn (Melissa), Joey Taylor (Diana), Charles Samples (Jerry Holloway), Donnie Palmer (Rena), Josh Palmer (Ashley), Mitzi Cook (Tom), Darla Adams (Shayne), Connie Murrell, Charlotte Owen, Kim Palmer, Barbara Samples and Brenda Lindley (Mike). He is also survived by great nieces/nephews, extended family, and friends.
