He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Gin" Cummings; his daughter Hope McCreary; his grandchildren, Olivia Settlemires (Brady), Aidan Settlemires and Elena Brownlee (Bonner); and his siblings, Shirley Henderson (Hafford) and Jerry Cummings. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
