He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Ruth Prather; his parents, William Prather and Elizabeth Prather; and his sister Inez Foote. He is survived by: his children, Walter Prather, Jr. (Freda) of Baldwyn, Mark Prather of Baldwyn, Ronnie Prather (Patricia) of Guntown, Michael Prather of Baldwyn and Cathey Miller (William) of Baldwyn. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
