It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wilson Sr. of Banner, Mississippi, born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his siblings, Clayton Hall Sr., Farrell Hall, William Buford, Ronnie Dillard and Brenda Dillard.

He is survived by : his wife Catherine Hurst Wilson; his children, Savannah Wilson, John Wilson, Jr. and Joshua Wilson (Maddy); his sister Carol Orr; and his grandchildren, Jayden Morris of Banner, Caramae Morris of Banner and Kash Wilson of Banner.
