He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Smith and Dorothy Jean Enlow Smith; and his sister Sandy Speights. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smith; his daughters, Jennifer Berry (BJ), Julie Dickens (Darren) and Dedra Fortenberry (Eric); and his sister Linda Fortenberry. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Santee Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Santee Methodist Cemetery.
