She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Slaughter and Gladys Ophelia Clark Slaughter. She is survived by: her husband Thomas L. "Tommy" Powell of Batesville, MS; her children, Rusty Kellum of Como, MS, Phillip Powell of Batesville, MS and Laura K. McMillin (Tim) of Crestview, FL; and her sister Sylvia Moler of Georgetown, AR.. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
