She was predeceased by: her parents, Abe Dean and Ovilla Ryburn Dean; her son Gene Stanley "Stan" Welch, Jr.; and her husband Gene Stanley Welch, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter DeAnn Welch Scott (Wade) of Batesville; her daughter-in-law Melissa Welch of Batesville; her sister Sherry Causey of Counce, TN.; her grandchildren, Meredith Welch, Braiden Scott, Hannah Welch, Graysen Scott and Lena-Grace Franklin; and her sisters, Barbara Ann Tippitt, Omega Jenkins and Anna Beth Gordon.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wells Funeral Home (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home (340 MS-35, Batesville, MS 38606). A burial was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Forrest Memorial Park (24017 MS-6, Batesville, MS 38606).
