He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily Kathryn Towles Mangrum and Calvin Wood Mangrum; and his brother Randall Mangrum. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jane Hammett of Independence, MO.; his daughters, Kimberly Van Uden (Robert) of Jackson, MS and Jennifer McCain of Batesville, MS; his granddaughters, Lucy Kathryn Ross (Jackson), Anna Margaret Bounds (Ethan) and Emily Kathryn Van Uden; his siblings, Philip Mangrum (Barbara) and Judy Clark (Jay); his great grandchild Mary Alice Ross; and his nieces and nephews, Kelly Chambers, Charlie Mangrum, Mandy Jones and Emily Burdette.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (104 Panola Ave, Batesville, MS 38606). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Magnolia Cemetery.
