He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Alfus and Irene Sawyer Stallcup; his son John Mark Stallcup; and his sisters, Jeanie Travis and Dottie Harper.
He is survived by: his partner Lynn Forbess of Sardis, Mississippi.; his children, Debbie Lynn Reese (Mike) of Big Sandy, Tennessee, Joe Mitchell Stallcup (Vickie) of Sardis, Mississippi and James Michael Stallcup (Young) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; his brother Robert Stallcup of Arlington, Tennessee.; his daughter-in-law Lisa Stallcup of Keller, Texas.; his grandchildren, Stephen Lee McGoldrick, Natasha Lynn Robinson, Shawna Leigh Harris, Thomas Michael Stallcup, Andrew Stallcup and Amanda Nicole Stallcup; and his great grandchildren, Alana, Emma, Kristopher and Lucas.
