He was predeceased by: his parents, Irby Owens and Eliza Lucille Young Johnson; his children, Anita Johnson Mitchell, Teresa "Sissy" Johnson and Brian Johnson; and his grandson Jake Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Brown Johnson of Batesville; his son Jerry Johnson of Enid, MS; and his brother Harold "Pee Wee" Johnson (Martha Lynn) of Batesville. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
