He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lawrence Childs, Sr. and Lillian Johnson Childs. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Nelson Childs of Batesville, MS; his children, Chesley Childs Williams of Dallas, TX and Brett Childs (Amy) of Batesville, MS.; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicole Childs, Bristol Laken Childs and Lawrence Baylor Childs.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to North Delta School, 330 Greenwave Lane, Batesville, MS 38606.
