She was predeceased by: her husband Charles David Whitsell; her parents, Joseph Oyett Thompson and Virginia Anthony Thompson; her grandson Colby Mason; and her siblings, Daisy Joyner, Joe Thompson, Draper Mae Odom, Dotsy Joyner, Hilda Russell, Joann Sharp and Mildred Gordon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angie Sutton of Batesville, MS and Gayle Mason (Keith) of Starkville, MS; her siblings, Nina Hayes of Greenwood, MS, Faye Clark of Pope, MS, Mavis King of Washington and Corley Thompson of Scoobey, MS; her grandchildren, Will Sanders (Mandi), Kori Ratcliffe and Spencer Sutton (Darbi); and her great grandchildren, Tripp Sanders, Charlie Sanders, Luna Sanders and Colby Leigh Ratcliffe.
Her contributions to the workplace were significant, reflecting her strong work ethic and devotion to excellence.
