It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert David Burkhalter Jr. of Batesville, Mississippi, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert David and Lelia Ann Womack Burkhalter; and his sister Beverly Burkhalter Evans. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Tippit Burkhalter of Batesville, MS; his daughters, Laura Burkhalter Newsom (Josh) of Hernando, MS and Lelia Burkhalter Ferguson (Hunter) of Hernando, MS; his sisters, Roberta Burkhalter Woodward of Meridian, MS and Billie Whit Smith Purvis of Meridian, MS; and his granddaughters, Ava Grace Newsom, Anna Presley Ferguson and Katherine Faye Newsom.
